What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. I'm about over the spider bite drama. The weather forecast has been changed for the week so it turn's out today is a good day to plant seeds. I will also get the okra planted in the front yard. The border for my front garden has been delayed again, so no rush on that one. I'm determined to get started on the baby coop today. I have at least another week and a half before the baby BO's are ready to move, maybe longer. They don't seem to be feathering out as fast as the others. But I still need to get crackin' on their new digs. The lilac under my bedroom window is about to bloom, however I noticed the blooms are only on the tallest branches. I think I may need to remove it next year. All but 2 of my potato plants have broken through the dirt. Not bad for grocery store potatoes. All 3 little rows of my turnips have sprouted. My neighbor wasn't able to get the trunk yanked out of his yard yesterday so I'm assuming he will be back to work on that today. I may be wrong, but I think pine trees put down a tap root. That's going to be a hard stump to yank out. Love the pathway @igorsMistress. Oh @NewBoots I think the leaf damage is more likely due to bugs. Have you looked at the underside of the leaves? Just a thought. Have a great day everyone.

Hi fellow gardeners - I'm so jealous of all of you! I'm so far behind on my garden - nothing at all is planted, or even started, due to both of us working 6 days/week due to this corona - my company's stores are closed but online sales are huge, so it's all hands on deck to process online sales, even for those of us who work in the office. Our one day off is taken up by grocery shopping (a hellscape in itself) laundry, meal prep for the week, normal chores like cleaning the chicken coop, cleaning the house to a barely minimal standard.
it's frustrating, because the weather has been so great for growing, and I've been able to do barely anything.
One good thing, is that a few months ago we planted some shrubs and trees we bought from the county extension, and they are all doing really well. We also splurged and bought a weeping willow, which is doing great as well. Our perennials (apples, asparagus, pears, grapes) will be great, they're setting fruits and no more frost is expected.
At least we had our local guy do the rototilling yesterday.

Welcome to the thread @littledog. Sometimes things just work out that way. I remember how challenging it was to keep up with the garden when I was still working. Now that I'm retired it's more weather dependent. I was planting some things in my garden and where I had the hoop covered bed is looking pretty decent. I cleaned up a bit in there and am happy to say that I have 3 healthy looking conehead cabbage plants growing along with a couple or more of romaine lettuce. The carrots are spaced nicely and only needed a little thinning and the endive is growing as well. I planted butternut squash seeds in the same bed so after the cold crops are done they can spread all over that bed. But I guess the most exciting thing was my first harvest of icicle radishes. These were popping out of the dirt begging to be picked. These will make a nice addition to the salad I'm having with my steak dinner tonight. Yum!

DOH, I was fixated on nutrient issues and never really thought about that. Dodging raindrops right now but I'll have a look see once it lets up. I know there is a little bit of hole damage but the crinkling and yellowing is new to me. Then again, so is growing bush wax beans. :D

Good afternoon gardeners. I got the dirt onto the path and worked in. I gave it a rinse and will walk on it a few times a day for about a week then give it another rinse. I didn't like the proximity of 2 aloes so I pulled those and chopped with the shovel, then pulled the pups from around the others. I stuck one in the ground elsewhere so we'll see. I got the bushes fertilized this morning and did a lot of little odds and ends while hubs built a new nest box. I still need to pull the lattice out from behind the shed later and move a couple more things and then I'm done. Frozen pizza for dinner.
