What did you do in the garden today?

Please, please, please - I want bunny pics! I want to see Cupcake big & fat then little babies!
Cupcake!
Is that a banana.jpg

I do believe it is a banana.jpg

Yes, I will take that banana.jpg

I SAID....jpg

Heh, DP was trying to get her to sit up but at her stage it seemed too much of an ask. :bun Baby pics coming soon, we hope :).
Isn't wilt annoying?! It just pops up!
It really is! I had to pull up about about a third of my plants. This is a cool and humid climate so I'm sure that's the cause. The Principe Borghese plants were the main source and infected a couple others near them.
I took me a minute... :gig
Dang it, I missed it.

Happy Tuesday 🌺
I shot my first rat yesterday. It was the size of a not so small kitten and pretty happy about grabbing stale pistachios from the compost bin.
Planted my tomatoes in slightly improved caged bed with conditioned soil. Did a last thinning of carrots and got the horses feet trimmed.
DH is making me a door for my incubator/brooder table. It is an old teak table that has moved from one end of the house to the other and never really had a home. Now it does :D I also moved little chicks to the mini coop for the day. Watered lawn and garden, did laundry getting ready to go feed the horses..
Great posts and photos all! Keep them coming!!!!!!

Good morning gardeners. It seems like I only have a hope for my cantelope left in this world to sustain my family plus the chicken. And our passion flower, the stressed one now earned the right to my drip irrigation(leaky hose) system. Can you imagine waking up to 81F and 80% humidity? I can because I went outside to take care of the chicken before sunrise and all my clothing vacuum sealed to my body today.

Good morning gardeners. Thank goodness it's not that hot and humid here right now. Yesterday I got a little upset when a man with a spray can was spraying around my neighbor's backyard near the property line. I asked him what he was spraying and he said Round Up. I let him know I wasn't happy and told him that was too close my vegetable garden. He left very shortly after that. It was also a few feet away from a drainage stream that runs along the property line. So that could end up in our drinking water. Sorry for the rant. I did my walk around the garden this morning and was surprised that my pole beans are already coming up. That was fast. Today is moving day for the littles. I'm pretty nearly finished. I want to paint the front of their coop, then I need to build and attach the doors. Although there are scattered showers in the forecast for tomorrow, I'm thinking all the gardens need a watering today. So I hope finishing the baby coop goes quickly and I can get it all done today. Side note: my rose bush in the front yard is blooming now. I try to get a picture later. Have a great day everyone.

It’s 85 here and 90% humidity. I don’t really mind it too much. Storms are coming tomorrow.

Yuck, I hate the humidity.

OMG Cupcake is adorable, bet she can't wait to birth those babies!

@Wee Farmer Sarah I wouldn't be happy about the round up either. We no longer speak about that crap in this house, it's a tabu topic that always causes troubles here. :lau

Not much going on today. I vacuum sealed the rest of the beef yesterday. A tidbit I learned from all of this...don't pack 400lbs of non-frozen beef too tight into the deep chest freezer because it will expand as it freezes & DH will have to use a crow bar & mallet to get it out. :gigWhat a mess, it bled everywhere & froze to the bottom. I really liked the butcher but I might have to find one who vacuum seals instead next time, I can't imagine any other way that it wouldn't make such a huge mess & it's so much easier to vacuum seal it after it's frozen. :idunno

Have a great day all!

That's almost funny. But don't worry too much. Beef actually shrinks up a bit when frozen. Water expands, but solids like meat usually shrink. But you might want to keep a mallet and an ice pick handy anyway. :lau

Good morning gardeners. @AllenK RGV that has to be miserable, ugh! @Wee Farmer Sarah I wouldn't be happy either, roundup is terrible stuff. No garden work here today, I'm prepping the kitchen for paint. My counter is natural granite floor tiles so I decided on white walls and grey cabinets this time. Have a great day everyone.
