That's almost funny. But don't worry too much. Beef actually shrinks up a bit when frozen. Water expands, but solids like meat usually shrink. But you might want to keep a mallet and an ice pick handy anyway.![]()
You're probably right, it may not have expanded as much as flattened out from the weight, but 150 lbs worth of 2 lb packages packed on top of each other was not a good idea! It was a nightmare to get out & only got worse the closer I got to the bottom. Lesson learned there! It's much better now that it's vacuum packed - good to go.
