What did you do in the garden today?

When I finally get around to trying out my incubator I’ll be begging for your support and guidance @Acre4Me and @TropicalBabies.
If i could give you a love and laugh on the emoji' response I would. This is my first rodeo, so I can only be a cheerleader. That is why I got a smart incubator... I am still anxious but the incubator is doing great. Seems like ***A4M has it down to the science, i'd love to know what she knows.

@Wee Farmer Sarah, @TropicalBabies - I'm on the novice side of things myself. I bought the low cost still air incubator. With not as good of results this time, I'll change a few things. In addition, I just ordered the fan converter for the incubator, so I'll still have to hand turn, but now air will circulate. Not sure if I'll get it in time for the next hatch to start next week, but thats ok. I'm doing it to learn and to have some cute chicks! Once I hatch a few times, I'll get the hang of how things should look, etc which will help if I decide to go more high tech.

Glad your incubator came in @TropicalBabies - It is fun to see the progress of the chicks!

Calla Lillies showed up!!!! Haven't seen these since we moved here, so quite the surprise!

This is supposed to be a bush bean, but I guess its jealous of the pole beans further down in the same bed.

Cucumber bed.... Now that the cucumber beetle has showed up, it may go downhill fast or not.

Pretty fat cucumber. Not overly long, but quite wide! Over 3" wide!

Might if not already done use a egg carton no top to hold them that way twist but not lift the egg .. once a week lift and turn like the hen would. Never turn it over please

You had the courage to buy the basic knowing you would eventually not screw it up. I don't have that kind of faith in myself when it comes to hatching chicks. I guess the little fragile things scare me or I am too cheap to lose eggs. I wanted the Hova-Bator but worried about the Styrofoam and our climate and lack of storage. I could just see all those tropical bugs moving in and it being hard to clean and then stinking and me regretting not paying the extra $$ and upgrading. Once DH was on board it was even easier to upgrade further lol. I have bought him many, many $$$ helpful tools as gifts. I think he was returning the favor.

Penny, awesome tip, mahalo!! :D ;)

Congratulations! I'm so excited for you! :wee

I am so jealous! Gorgeous peppers and so many! Great pics.

Okay, weed-eating done, watering done, dumped steer manure on the morning glories, yarrow, and clarkia, then soaked them thoroughly, cooling off in the house with some ice water now. And I picked a couple of those dark red gooseberries, they aren't rock hard anymore and I wanted to be sure I got a shot at them before the birds do. They are delicious! I can't compare the flavor to anything else, but even not completely ripe they are awesome! Going to order another bush for next year.
