Hey you stole my brooder us the same size as my brooder .. I have little one no food or water I start peeps in
Yeah, she had them for a couple of days. Home made heat cave (Miller Light box with heating pad and towel on top. They get stinky quickly, so next step was the porch in the dog kennel. Heat cave became LaCroix box, and so on. So easy to dump the boxes shavings and all!

Finally sampled the beans cooked with the Carolina Reaper Bone broth. I can barely feel the heat and I have to wait until my mouth is empty before I can barely feel it. I can tell the source of the heat was very hot, it doesn't have the milder Jalapeño burn it has that deep strong type of burn but only felt faintly. Next time I fix this I am adding the Cayenne peppers to the beans when i cook them (or Jalapeños/Serannos, what ever I have) Its my first batch of beans I cooked with my own Tomatoes (oxheart) in it instead of using store tomatoes (roma). I really can't tell the difference to be honest but its nice to know I can produce my own ingredients. Today in the garden I watered everything, noticed my Collards and Bokchoy germinated for my fall garden and picked weeds to feed my rabbit (all grasses).

Also froze the okra. OMG! They are almost as easy to freeze as the peppers. Wash, dry, slice then heat in a 350 degree oven for 3 minutes. Cool then toss into a freezer bag. I tasted a piece after the quick "toasting" and it was sweet and tasty, not slimy at all. I was beginning to have my doubts, but I will be growing okra in the future.
I am going to copy and paste those instructions to my recipes, I can't believe how many okra I've gotten so far.
Oh man I just had the best giggle. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...rom-hydroxychloroquine/ar-BB17tnia?li=BBnb7Kz MSN used Demon Sex in a sentence. Who does that?
Demon Sex... That explains so much about my life. :)

Got smart (well, for me) and started doing the garden chores before doing the watering. I usually water first but by the time I'm done I give myself permission to "take a break" and that "break" gets a bit over long. Instead I got a bunch of repotting done and started the greenhouse cleanup. Pulled the last of the sugar snap peas and the bunnies rejoiced! I trimmed back the mint and tossed the trimmings into the chicken run. The ladies were not impressed but I also gave them two five gallon buckets of aged wood chips, cantaloupe trimmings, overgrown zucchini, and some mixed grain treats so they are very happy now. The rabbits also got basil, mint, the pea vines, cantaloupe trimmings, and the grass I pulled out of the greenhouse and walkway. Happiness all around!

Made zuc fritters for lunch to have with the cantaloupe. I could have those fritters every day, such a good use for zucs. The Jerusalem Sage are coming along as are the scarlet monkey flowers and I got my pearly everlasting seeds (the size of dust) so I'll get them started as well. Greenhouse gets so hot during the day I have to move seedlings out just about as soon as they sprout. I put the sprinkler on the deck before coming in to make lunch so the deck should be good and now I'll do the raised beds. Gotta mow again tomorrow. Have a great day all!

Wow!!! Lots of catch up reading with you folks. Great posts, gardens, bunnies and chicks all.
Good fun to see. Bravo on some beautiful gardens!!!! :love :love :love
Been hot and humid here- 90 degrees with 60% humidity last few days. Definitely hide during the day and emerger in the evening for walks on the beach time :p and DEFINITELY looking forward to the start and hope of fall.

Garden wise- all suffering from summer. I pulled a few bitter carrots that are only good for snacking and sharing with the horses. Papaya, star fruit, peppers and oranges are looking good but the rest... not so much. Just too hot. I am looking forward to starting a better suited garden when it cools.
I have a few new layers and hatched out 18 more chicks- for a total of 35 but sold 20 today. I am debating if I should take a break as a few feed stores have been able to get a few chicks in, though they have sold out immediately. I don't want to do any hatching in the fall as that puts POL in our summer :tongue We shall see.

Yep, I saw an interview with the voodoo doctor @AllenK RGV . Sure would not want her in charge of my health and wellbeing and certainly would not take a dimes worth of advice from her either. It is amazing who and what can make it in front of the cameras now-a-daze. I'm not sure what that has to do with liberties and why ignorance and crazy should override other people's liberties to health and happiness...? But these are beyond crazy times we are living in... think we have fallen over the edge into excepted stupidity and even insanity.

Well, all. It was nice catching up on your happenings. I'll try to be better at checking in on you all.
