Good afternoon gardeners. Just came in for a little bit to cool off. The coops have been gutted and scrubbed and the shed cleaned out and straightened up. I put the fan on to blow into the main coop to help it dry out a little faster. Tomorrow I can sanitize and give the floor one last pass with the leaf rake to get all the little stuff

We went to Home Depot early this morning and I picked up a couple bags of pea gravel for the mini coop floor, some Italian parsley, chives and two new artichokes. Also got a couple more bags of soil for the garden. We need to measure the mini coop again to determine how many pavers I need in there before I go buy any of those. I may use the bunch we have out front for that space since they’re old and not pretty and put something nice along the driveway.

Warm here today. Mowed the entire lawn - hopefully for the last time. Ran the lawnmowers 'dry' for the winter. My tomato plants are still growing, setting and ripening fruit. No complaints about that.

Spent the day finishing the winterization on the coop/run and barn critters.

Central Wisconsin almost directly in the middle of Wisconsin.
Mother Nature blessed us with 2" of rain the other day and almost all the snow is gone now but we are suppose to get more snow tomorrow. We should have snow for Halloween.

yeah we had a snow Wednesday night into Thursday, it started snowing here again last night!! I’m in Northwest South Dakota!! So far we have about a foot in the ground.

Me too! They will grow in the compost during the summer, but never survive the winter here.

That is almost perfect for snow shoeing!!
