What did you do in the garden today?

Today I harvested the last of the German Heritage Tomatoes, over half of which were still good despite surviving a few weeks of decent frost. I was really surprised! And I harvested some Scarlet Runner Bean seeds to save for next year :) Tomorrow I will harvest our Brussel Sprouts - which are ready!

We had 4 tons of gravel delivered this morning. Now I’ve been moving it a little at a time to cover the dirt/dust/mud that is the path from the house to the dog yard and on to the chicken yard. Thank you puppies for making this extra work for me. 🤣. They keep digging holes and troughs trying to get to the dadgum moles. 😡
Oh well, at least it is a beautiful day outside!!

Dropped my worm bin while trying to move it to the new house, immediately tripped over the bin and bellyflopped on the unfortunate worms. Luckily none got in my mouth, but I still smell like worm guts. 😲
EEEWWWW. I though I was the only one that talented. We need to have a best bellyflop story contest. Luckily I have only fallen once this year, so I am good. I was putting a decorative garland over the front door the other day and thought I was on the bottom rung of the stepladder- I wasn't. Happily, no damage done. i see why my MD told me to stay off ladders a few years ago.

Us klutzes never get any more graceful, do we? We just get older and take longer to bounce back from our latest faceplant.

Bless your heart- 4 tons of gravel to move. Yikes.
Every year I have to put a lot of dirt in the yard. My dog Penny loves to dig for moles. Right now, I could probably put two huge bags of dirt out, but am gonna wait til Spring to fill in all the winter damage she does. I have put out milky spore and molex to try to get rid of the moles. So far, still got them.

Two years ago, while hauling 10 gallons of water from the workshop to the barn, I made the poor decision to just 'run out and feed the stock real quick, so JUST in gym shorts, a T-shirt and flip flops.....in 4 inches of snow, but it was just a quick chore.

Did I mention the snow. Ya. Landed right on my back in the field, dumping 10 gallons of water on myself. Donkey's laughing at me the whole time.

Lesson learned.
