Good morning. I woke up to the sound of pouring rain this morning. We still have power (knock on wood) but the rain I expected to just slough off is actually freezing. It's been below freezing all morning. The trees are glazed but nothing has come down yet. I wouldn't worry about your sugar snap peas @Artichoke Lover. They should survive the cold, perhaps take a little longer to germinate, but peas can germinate at lower temps than other vegetables. I really hate ice storms but I'm glad this isn't snow. We've already had nearly an inch of rain and if that was snow it could be as much as 12 to 16 inches deep. I got my new spice rack hung on the wall yesterday. I even used a level to make sure it was not leaning the wrong way. The matching wall shelving unit arrived this morning already, but I really want to get working on the painting in the living room first. On the up side, the ice dams on the eves are getting smaller, thank goodness. Best of luck to all of you not accustomed to dealing with the cold temps. It will all melt eventually. Even in Connecticut @Sueby.
