What did you do in the garden today?

So did you see my original post that was lost? DH was making fun of the chicken - we were dunking her foot in corn starch & he was saying to her, 'mmmm, breaded chicken'! I can't see that post anywhere & I was too annoyed to type it all out again, lol.
Yup I did.
DH thinks it's funny when I spice up the feed. He says I'm pre-seasoning them.

Good afternoon gardeners. I hope you’re all enjoying the weekend. I watered this morning after we took the pups to the park, then we went to a baseball game. Just came in from stirring the litter in the duck house and topping up feed. Everyone has fresh water also. I’m thinking about heading over to the pet store when hubs gets back to get some feeder fish and do the duck pools this afternoon. That’ll leave just housework for tomorrow and grocery shopping. My DIL told me her Muscovy female started laying eggs so she’s going to leave them and see if she’ll hatch some babies. She’s thinking about getting a 10 pack of mixed ducklings from TSC so she gets eggs. She didn’t research Muscovy before she got them and now regrets getting them. There’s a male from a couple houses over that has moved in so the eggs are fertile. They also have a chicken hen sitting on eggs in my husbands shop. And surprise, their female bunny just had a litter of kits. Five. So one of the girls is a boy, oopsie. Crazy happenings at their place, so thankful it’s not me! The garden is coming along, I’m going to cut off that head of broccoli this afternoon for the bunnies along with some herbs. I love feeding them from the garden. Can’t wait to feed us too! Anyway, have a great evening all.

Today was a bit hectic. Finished prepping the soil in the spring bed and planted sugar snap and little marvel peas. Red salad bowl, black seeded Simpson and Nevada lettuce. In the flower garden i planted two patches of sweet peas. The native plums came today they looked a little rough they took an extra two days to ship due to weather and the box had been left upside down so the roots were dry and top was soaked:barnie
From what I read they are pretty hard to kill though so I’ll give it a couple of weeks. The oregano and all of the flower have sprouted and the eggplant and peppers are starting to. Collected bricks and used them to pin down the edges of the greenhouse before I move everything out there tomorrow.
The other gardener tilled the big bed for the main garden today so I can get the potatoes in the ground this week.

This! Underperforming vegetables go to the rabbits and chickens and the best go to us hoomons and it's so satisfying! I find that the broccoli and kale that's home grown is so much milder than the store bought ones.

Still clearing the leftovers from last year out of the raised beds and sharing them out to the critters and starting spinach and assorted lettuce in the greenhouse. The latest litter of 7 bunnies opened their eyes today and that's the biggest litter so far. The 10 ladies are ranging between 6 to 8 eggs a day so spring is on the way.

I wish you were closer. I want rabbits, but sourcing them here is very difficult.
