What did you do in the garden today?

Raintree Nursery in Washington State.
Part of my issue is I paid EXTRA for taller trees 3-4 or 5-6 foot trees. They included the length of the scraggly roots in their measurements. In some cases these tiny hair-like roots were sometimes 2.5 feet long and they included that in the total measurement. I got nothing taller than 28 inches tall.
They only warranted them for 6 months. I've lost 50% of them. Most of those at about 8 months, the rest didn't make it through winter. Each had huge holes, fertilizer, and it's own drip irrigation line. NONE of them threw new growth at all. Ridiculous.
I ordered from them because they had interesting varieties. Nope never again.

that's why I buy localy.

Today I plan to up-pot the rest of the seedlings I didn't do yesterday, and turn the compost.

I also need to paint the new wood on the coop add on (still impressed with what we got done under threat of rain). And we need to put the metal piece on the roof. I think that's a higher priority, as they are said more rain on Monday. More than the 10 minutes of sprinkles? I hope so. I'm gonna water a couple of potted shrubs. That should make it rain, right?

Maybe if I actually type this out, I'll hold myself to it!

Bummed, I went online looking for this awesome bulb and I’m not in the right zone for it. Prolly best, at over 26 bucks a bulb, I’d be dropping some serious coin to get a decent number of them. Please post more pictures for those of us who can’t grow them so I can live vicariously through your pics!
I found 3/$24 at whiteflowerfarms.com. Haven't pulled the plug yet though as they have LOTS of gorgeous flowers 🤣🤣

2 rats only? lucky you. the rats here consumed 3lb of poison and I had to by another 3lb pack which is going down rapidly. I am surrounded by fields and abbondoned houses.
Ours are huge! We have tried glue traps but they just run off with them. And we have to have the rat sized glue traps for the mice! The rats are over a foot long including the tail, they look like possums. I really hate they killed the freezer in the shed last year because they nested in the electric panel.

Good morning gardeners. We got another 1/10 inch of rain overnight. I didn't get to do my shopping yesterday but will try to get out today. I'm also hoping to get a few more things planted in the garden this afternoon and set my potted rosemary plants outside finally. The weather appears to be fairly dry this week so I can finally mow the back yard and get some more trimming done. Not much else going on. Still taking it a little easy and resting from working on the fence. The sole surviving tulip I planted last Autumn has bloomed. I'm so disappointed only one came up, but that's likely my fault for planting them too deep. As advertised, it does have a peony-like bloom.
