What did you do in the garden today?

@Acre4Me it's taken me 4 years to deal with the bindweed in the rockbeds
pull and spray, spray and pull.....eventually the plant starves

Putting the remaining 10 trays of tomatoes and squash on CL for $40
Otherwise, Saturday, I'll toss them to the cattle or the chickens or both.

Sultry today.

Dog napping drugged up and happy.

Afternoon gardeners.

Hmm. Thanks. I might try Natural Grocers. I did see that it is online on Amazon, Etsy, etc. Now I'm wondering about ginger root too. Anybody grow that?
I would love to grow ginger but we don't have a long enough season for it. I know I could grow it in a pot in the house though. There is a large ginger farm in MA that does grow it, I think they figured it out but the ginger doesn't have time to form is protective skin, but I guess that doesn't matter. I saw them on Martha a loooong time ago so I don't quite remember all the details.

Check out my little peaches developing nicely!!! They average the size of a quarter I would say. I'm just so excited to have them actually growing after 3 years of waiting.

Since everyone is sharing pics around the garden, here's mine! ☺

Onions are flowering/bolting. Not all of them thankfully!

One of my yacon plants. I planted a flower in front of it... Calendula maybe? I don't remember...

Garlic is practically ready. Might dig up one this evening and check.

One of my sad looking blueberries. Still need to get the soil tested to figure out why they are dying.

Carrots are doing great

Squash is even better. Almost harvest ready.

And lastly, my deformed sorry looking corn. Almost as bummed about this as I am about the blueberries.

Everybody's stuff looks great! My work in progress coop does not LOL. I don't needs a lot of technical advice, but I'd like a couple of opinions on color choice. I finally agreed to change plans and use this metal shed since we drug it under a huge tree for shade. We removed the worst part of the metal and will replace with hardware cloth for ventilation and maybe put the nesting boxes there. Obviously I will need a matte color to minimize the dents and dings.

I found this paint in the mis-tints at Wal-mart. 15 year exterior paint. The color is "wine hour" and looked almost gray in the drop dried on the can. Wet, it looks grape colored and here it is dry on one small part. It does dry a deeper color and I'm thinking of just going for it.

Leaving the roof silver and using a dark gray for the door and accents. Like this kitchen example. What do you guys think? Will I regret an 8x12 purple building in my yard?

Well if you get sick of it, you can always paint over it.... Right?
