What did you do in the garden today?

Unless our forecast shifts throughout the day, I'm going to need to cover my garden beds tonight. They're saying 35, which is borderline frosty around here, and the garden isn't beside anything warm enough (like a heated house or somesuch) to keep it from potentially dipping lower. Also, 35 is for the nearest town, and we aren't surrounded by asphalt out here. Not getting above 60 today, which explains why my dang hands and feet are freezing even inside my pleasantly warm RV.

I'll plan all my outside activities today for 1-3 this afternoon and spend the morning and evening snuggled under blankets. Time to break out the long sleeved shirts! Potential freeze next week...

My experience with Jack Russell's and Rat terriers is that they are amazing at what they do, very loving, very intelligent... But don't let them near your chickens. They have a high prey drive.
My mother had Manchester terriers when I was a boy. They would snatch low flying birds out of the air. No mole, vole or mouse lived in our yard for long! A mockingbird pecked out the eye of one in return for losing his mate. They were smart and good pets.

Lots of rain yesterday. Lots of wind today. Lots of clouds both days.

This is when I start missing the warmer weather. The lack of sunshine does it. When we get a sunny day, I go sit in the green house to enjoy "spring" of a sort. Warm enough to take of my coat. Gonna start taking a book up there to read.

But first we need some sunshine.
