What did you do in the garden today?

Tilled and weeded some, took a Sunday break for a few hours and I'm headed back out to do the same. Picked a bunch of lettuce and a few early onions to thin a row or two of them out. Finally got the neighbors dog to stop digging and rolling in the far end of my garden. Seems that I finally put enough chicken coop poop debri along the edges that the dog started to royally stink after rolling in it. Said dog is now tied up by it's owner, wonder if it was a suddle enough of a hint to him. I don't mind dogs wandering through I live out in the counrty after, all but it ticks me off when they dig up and undo work it to me a day to do. Took a few pics of it also.
Love it!

If you can't get it to drain and want to put somethin there, Cannas will sop up pooling water, as will cattails and The Louisiana Iris (pretty and great for boggy areas.
I had this ''really great brainwave' to peel off some of the sod in front of our south flower garden in order to enlarge it. Well guess what! Looks like I am making a lake instead of a flower garden! I even put in a drainage canal! (for now?)

I would love to do that. It'd help figure out what's worth the room & effort :) where did you see it? Or what works for you on keeping track?

We have gotten 43 cups of strawberry, 15 cups of mulberry and 8 radishes. Also sent berries and lettuce, and broccoli thinnings to the girls. I am keeping track of how much we produce here at home this year. Saw it here on byc and i really want to know how much we do get overall.

I've been weeding, watering, begging my tomatoes to take off in growth lol. Squishing caterpillars like crazy in the small garden (no chickens allowed)
Have cuttings of plants and herbs in water bottles all over. Put in a few flower beds here and there of plants I grew from last year's seeds. Love that it worked so well and new flowers are filling in for summer :)
Oh yeah, I also ate my 1st peach off last year's Mothers day present from the hubby :)

Gave in and dusted the garden... Bugs are just too bad after a warmer Florida winter and I just can't keep up! Weeded and trimmed and all that good stuff :) spent time on some flower beds too. Too hot to do too much right now though!
