What did you do in the garden today?

It's trending with the northern migration of the flocks of geese.
Last summer nearly every public beach around here was shut down due to e.coli blooms caused by the migrating geese....

I am really paranoid because I can't keep wild birds out. Luckily the only wild water bird who visits my pond has been a blue heron... No geese.

I'm more worried about the sparrows, starlings, etc.

For some reason I don't get a lot of the wild birds around here. Maybe the bees keep them away, that'd be nice, I know they sure lit up the chickens ! Stupid bimbo decided she'd jump up and snap at the entrance to the beehive. that was a lesson that only took ONCE :D :p :D

So far in florida I am not seeing any issues, but with a cockatoo in the house, who's more like a son than a bird to me, if this crap starts coming this way, I may end up moving the chickens into a spare bathroom for a week or so until it passes . (showers can be hosed down daily if need be, and they are already used to being caged). I don't know what Id do if I lost my buddy inside.

Hopefully this ends fairly soon here.

Peas are poking their heads through the soil in the hoop.
It gets deliciously warm out there.
Windy and cool today, might have rain and thunder later.
Not much more than watering going on at the moment.

Grabbed some sweet potatoes for canning, but those can wait a few days.

The loom and a sewing project are taking priority as they have a Monday deadline.
Ordered a part last night for future projects and they sent me an email that due to covid it won't be shipped until the end of MAY! US based, US made, blaming covid. Um....argh.
A NOTE on the item page, or the order page would have been nice, even if just for planning purposes would have been nice. I tried calling for item information yesterday, and using their live chat several times, and no one ever answered. OH well. May it is.
