Just pulled the chicken baby book. He would have been 7 on the 27th. He was a good boy! Arthritis and lord knows what else just caught up to him.

It sleeted and snowed here today but nothing stuck. I was going to plant parsnip seeds even had them soaking overnight but, nope. Not in this cold. We will see what tomorrow holds.

Trumpet vine is illegal in warm states, as it will take over.

I planted 3 trumpet vines in my front garden. 1 died due to brutal heat and the other 2 fight to survive in summer and do not grow much. they are partly shadowed by a big lemon tree.

Little Pink Houses For You And Me.. the rain makes the grass grow so mowing season is here, I am turning it all into garden soon..time to trade the grass for food, and all by hand with a broadfork and a pushplow.. It’s snowing!!! Looks like it will continue for awhile. Didn’t get below freezing that I could see. I left the strawberry starts and the onion starts in the deck, in a protected corner, they look ok.

Carazy weather! We got sleet here yesterday.
Had the squash and nasturtium covered (only new stuff I got outside so far). Guess we'll see in few days how it does.

finally sunny here. but mornings are still cold. I am thinking to start a few okra seeds in the pots and bring them inside at night.

Sunny today finally . Several rainy cloudy days coming . I need to pot up my blackberry starts . Still too cold at night for outdoor planting them . Everything is late this year . Pear trees often bloom in late March here but nothing yet .

Haven't had any sleep. DH is in the ER. Think it's pancreatitis. I don't think we will get the garden done this weekend... I need to go feed animals and take the sheets off the garden but I just want to go to sleep....
