What did you do in the garden today?

I cover my herb gardens with leaves in the Autumn @Sueby. They all do well under several inches of the leaves. The primary concern with the herbs is to keep their roots protected. I have 2 large containers of rosemary that I put in the center of each of those round beds once the weather has warmed up sufficiently.
Do you have thyme covered too? I use mine all winter so I don't want to cover it. :gig

Saw my first bee today! He wasn't really happy with the pansies though, lol.

Speaking of bees - look at what those little &^%$@( did to the front of my coop. I think they went in from the bottom & chewed their way through over the winter. I hope they froze to death.

I got 2 more rhubarb moved. Never moving it again - the garden will not expand anymore. I swear. So I planted horseradish in a 5 gallon bucket, in the ground, so it wouldn't spread. I found a root of it growing about 2 feet from the bucket. :lau:th

I planted some beans today, under a plexiglass panel so they should be good till for real spring shows up.

And in nonsensical news: my order from Gurneys was shipped from a location about 45 miles away from me via FedEx. It is now in another state, about 200 miles away…..

So, it sat for about 30 hours in that location. Now it is back in my state, it is about 80 miles away to the east. It had to travel about 200 miles to get to today’s location, coming within 35-40 miles of my home. 🙄. So, I might get it tomorrow- that’s the expected day of delivery.
