What did you do in the garden today?

Any ideas what is eating my rhubarb? Never have I had it eaten before? Do I spray or cover with netting?

Started some tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, and cucumbers in seed trays in the green house. While I wasn't paying attention, Penny got into the chicken run and found an old cooked chicken bone (I gave cooked bones to the chickens some time back) and crunched it up and ate part of it. Now I'm worried she'll get a perforated gut. :he
The popular theory with not feeding Cooked bones to dogs is that they are brittle and splinter when chewed. This of course depends on how the bones were cooked. If these are remnants from a soup/stock no issue. If from a barely not raw cooked piece? Could be an issue.
On the other hand my labs and pit mixes had iron stomaches and could eat damn near anything. Chicken wings, pork chops no problem for them.

Making bagel boards later
What are those?

Mid 70s today, low 70s tomorrow, and then Mother Nature puts her B-hat back on for next week.

Lots to do outside this weekend, so I'll see how much gets done. We got a lot of rain yesterday, so some stuff might have to wait until the grass dries out.

Reminds me of when we planted potatoes in our suburban lot, near some woods. Potato greens came up, looked nice …then one morning came out to chomped potato plants -almost to the ground on some of them - but the plants weren’t all that big yet. Well, it was some deer (or a deer) that chomped them. We never had that issue again - no chomped plants and we figured there was some deer with some pretty bad stomach aches that next day.
