What did you do in the garden today?

Store bought just doesn't compare. Aren't you in Florida? If so, I envy the farm stands that you have access to year round.

Nope! It doesn't! I'm in AL bout 30 minutes from the FL border. Actually here we don't do Farmers markets all year round (In my town anyway) We have from May to July

Because people won't come because there are no venders, the venders don't come because there are no people

After July it gets really hot so theres not much (Or thats what everyone says) that does well from July to Sep

"normal" people would think we're one sandwich shy of a picnic to hear the group excitement about baby worms! But, yeah, that's cause for excitement. Where did you get your worms, Dan? My most recent bin is wild caught stock.

:lau Some times I think my mom thinks that when I get excited about the worms :p I got them from a little gas station about 3 minutes from my house, he used to carry worms from a local guy but he switched sometime this summer and I'm not sure where they come from now though probably still fairly local. That's cool

So, they carry red worms for fishing???? I thought it was always night crawlers and angle worms. Good to know, just in case my bin inhabitants go walk about, or I kill them. It got too cold 3 years ago, and I thought every last one had died. But, I delayed cleaning it out, and the next summer, I opened it up to show the castings to a friend, and lo and behold, I found a tiny little baby. Fed the bin, and it recovered nicely.

He does, yes. He also carries what is labeled as large grey Wigglers (or something along those lines) which are in fact Alabama Jumpers which are native here. Most Walmarts have Red Wigglers too.
Lol. That's the beauty of the cocoons, they can survive conditions that kill adults.
