What did you do in the garden today?

Yes it's doable, BUT it's not advisable.
They'd need to be the same chemistry, ie Lithium, Lead acid etc you can NOT mix types.
you'd need a cell equalizer across the 2 volt portion.
they should be from the same manufacturer and really close to the same age.

Id recommend this ONLY if you already have the batteries and are just looking for how to make it work, Id NOT buy them and do this.

thank you. I don't have batteries so I will get the same ones.

I am consistently hearing that no till gardens do best, so I really want to get my garden there. That's what I tried to do for this year's garden, but it didn't work as well as I had hoped, which is fine because we still got a good yield and it's a first year garden.
I am totally for no till. But there are times when it really helps. First year gardens are a great example. I have either sandy sod or heavy sod. Not turning it with a shovel, so it gets tilled. I did till the heavy soil a couple years ago, again, to break it up and work in the leaves I'd been piling there for the previous two seasons.

I've read, "Only till if you're adding something to the soil." I think that's pretty reasonable advice too. Yeah, over tilling can wreck the texture of your soil, and you will kill earthworms when you till. So till when you really need to, and plan ways to not need to.
If it’s your first year garden, don’t fret! It takes time to build the soil health. Every year should get better. Don’t give up!
Exactly!

Looking at this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SLLS2M...&colid=XH78LR80UE42&ref_=gv_ov_lig_pi_dp&th=1 electric water bath canner. Since I do so many small batch pints of water bath it makes it sound easier and cooler for the kitchen. Anyone using one of those? IS it worth it?

I made cream of jerusalem artichoke soup for lunch today and it was delicious! I didn't have to peel the chokes since you pass the finished soup through a sieve so big plus there.

I have a table full of ripe tomatoes to make salsa out of, does anyone ever leave the skins on? It'll be so much easier to do without the scald and peel step. I have a lot that I already made that I did skin, I can use those for gifts and keep the batch with the peels on for home use. Opinions?
Your crock pot or even a deep fryer will do the same thing.
This is how I sauce vide my foods. use the deep fryer filled with water. You can get one of those BIG electric turkey fryers, the butterball one that holds like 3 gallons of fluid for about 100 dollars if that at wally world. Set the temp to 190 or whatever and it does the same thing only a LOT cheaper, and then when you are done with your canning, you can still use it to fry stuff in.

Think I will have cucumbers soon. It'll be a nice change from asparagus beans and squash, all that I could grow over the summer. Cool weather coming, the lows might drop below 60 this week.

I have another batch of Empire apples in the dehydrator. I buried the cores and skins in the garden. Yeah, I know, I can give skins to the chickens, but they're molting right now and don't need any reason to not eat their regular food. And, it was half a bushel worth of skin and cores.

There are 6 spinach and 2 kale sprouts up in the greenhouse! :clap
