What kind did you order Sueby?

I ordered all sex linked, production type breeds this time. RSL, BSL & Cinnamon Queens. I need more eggs, not more chickens. I started with RSLs years ago & I miss them, they lay eggs till they die & never go broody - I don't need boys, pets, freeloaders or mama wannabes, just eggs, lol. They live a good life here, albeit short(er).

Exactly what I did! I bought eggs & got annoyed that I'm feeding birds & buying eggs so I bought chicks.

My sis & I took Mom out for her bday - her 80th & first one since losing Dad. We sang happy birthday & she cried, lol. Anyway, my point was DH was very productive while I was gone, cleaned out the gutters & blew out the water lines. Now I have to carry water to the birds, which stinks. He is also fixing the oil leaks on the big Case tractor - had to pull the whole front end off. Big project but I'm glad to not have it leaking all over any more.

That's one of my next projects. I need to find a hydro leak on the tractor loader the next time the weather gets nice enough to be out without a parka.

Temp dropped back in my winter coat, I am getting more birds just do it my way hatch them.

So. Much. Snow. Not like Buffalo, NY, but a LOT for us for this time of year. The gardens are all white. A few stalks of dead asparagus sticking up, and that's it.

That reminds me I need to weed my asparagus tub, and dump about half a foot of new compost on top of it and let it ride thru the winter. Next year is year 3 for it, so I expect I should really have some nice stalks to pick given I really have not touched it much at all these past two years

My DH picked up 2 ricks of wood for $40 and a carton of menthols. Nice trade, eh?

On another note, my MIL told me that my FIL is going to buy a new tractor. They are going to give their current one to DH as a surprise. It's a Kubota with a front end loader and brush mower. Maybe 15 yrs old? Not bad... He doesn't know yet.
