What did you do in the garden today?

I just bought this propagating jig, I will try to clone a mango tree branch and tomato sucker with it.

Rain, rain, rain. Not quite 4” as @Sally PB, but it’s been pretty consistent and fairly heavy.

My crazy spouse decided to dig the hole and plant the last fruit tree in the rain. The fruit tree arrived today, so he was inspired I guess. One positive, he said he didn’t need to work too hard to mud it in.

Started Pansy and a few other flower seeds. All are edible. Still need to start marigolds. The nasturtiums get direct seeded - they seem to do best that way.

Plan for tomorrow is to start up potting some of the gazillion tomatoes and no idea what else.
I don't want to start the cukes or luffa until May 1st.
But maybe I'll start some more mums.
Our county just qualified for agricultural disaster service due to the deep nature of our drought. I'm going to be picky about what I plant, but I feel less guilty about irrigating since it is drip on each plant and not a broadcast system.
I swear, if my neighbors start watering lawns later this month, or if the city doesn't start restricting water usage, I'm going to pitch a fit.

Planted 2 Wildlife Chickasaw Plum Trees and 2 Pee Wee Hican Pecan Trees today with my husband when he got home from work. :)
I love plums but I mostly planted these 2 plum trees as pollinators for my other plum trees and for my honeybees. They say they have an extended pollen release and I know my bees could benefit from that.

:clap Perfect! It's even better than I had hoped for! I see that even without a heat mat, at a soil temperature of 63F, it still meets the minimum requirements of all my seedlings. Given that chart, I think I will start the seeds that need the most heat first, and rotate in the other pots as I have room. I think that will work.

I already printed out a copy of that chart for my reference. For anyone else interested, here is a copy of the picture. The picture file should print out fine on a standard 8-1/2 X 11 inch sheet of paper.

Do you have this in Celsius?
