What did you do in the garden today?

I'm so far behind on planting, I'm trying to not get discouraged.
After weeks, I may have my rototiller back by the weekend, I hope!

I am beyond frustrated by the lack of good service I've gotten.
It may be just another small engine to them, but for me, it's a year's worth of food and decades of return on perennial fruiting bushes that are going to really struggle now that the weather is warming and drying when they are being planted.

I got two hardy kiwis in the ground tonight.
I've been so focused on the chicken run that I've done little else this week.

I got 14 raspberries and 2 blackberries delivered today.
Now I have another trellis to build for one of the blackberries.
I should transplant another one that is just struggling in the place it is now.
I just heeled them all into a bucket of potting soil until I can rototill places for them.

I did more weeding in the strawberry bed. I'm having a hard time keeping up.
I planned out the human door and chicken door in the run.
I will pick up the building supplies I need to get those constructed when I run into town tonight.

Did manage allot in the garden today. Did damage one pot past repair used the dirt in
other places.

Between that and the rain, I didn't get the replacement strawberries in....
OMG so cute! 😍🥰

@Sally PB do you know how it happened? She looks like she's eating ok, that's good. I had one do that too & she was fine like nothing happened & it grew back perfect.

Watered & sprayed the peach tree with neem.

Couldn't do life without tractors! We got 2 loads of wood chips & the giant oak to go with it. Not moving them without the tractor. & the big one at that.

How big are the plants? I had to put almost an inch of water into my tray of tomato starts regularly as they were heavy drinkers. A lot of herbs don't like to be so wet though. Most other plants will be find, just drain off the excess water after the storm passes.

Thanks. Some of the plants are 2 inches high, the tomatoes are about 5 inches high. I also was thinking of just removing the excess water after the storm passes as you mentioned.

I managed to sift some more dirt to get the rocks out and filled the last of the three tires I am using to create "mounds" in the garden. Two now have watermelon and charentais melons planted in them and the middle one has two types of sunflowers planted in it (one is 'chocolate cherry' and I forgot the name of the other).

Seedlings are under grow lights currently. I don’t believe that we’ll plant any till the end of this month.

However, garlics are up, strawberry plants are starting to take back off, and greens/carrots/beets (heck yeah!) are seeded. Mints (💩) and perennial herbs are greening up and going again.
