What did you do in the garden today?

I need one of those to hold my hose. I have at least 250' of hose. And found a big split in one just today.

Anyone know what kind of bush this is? The flowers don't have a lot of scent. I don't think it's honeysuckle.

I didn't know ants could bite! I mean the little tiny ones.

Dang, does it ITCH!!
I did a Bing image search on your pic and it looks like it's something called an autumn olive.

I did NOT pay 200$ for mine. Watch for a sale or find one somewhere cheaper.

It does look like autumn olive but they have scent.
It has a slight scent. I don't have a good sense of smell any more. I recall it having more about 20 years ago. :lau
Russian Olive? Are the backs of the leaves silver? Are there thorns?
Some have thorns, some don't. I think I have both.

It seems both are invasive, and we have a lot of them, everywhere. I won't be trying to get rid of them, though, as honeybees like them.

Got the Sweet potatoes planted yesterday, received my two bee hives today, and found an issue with my one apple tree.
Still need to figure out what is causing it.

I feel like they had just come out with the JawHorse when I got it for him. I worked at Lowe's at the time so I got excited when I saw something new that he didn't have yet (last minute anniversary or birthday, lol) ended up being one of the best gifts I've ever given him. 😆

:clapThat's really good that you saw how useful it would be for your husband. I did not know if I would like the JawHorse workstations until I actually had one in hand in used it. I loved it. But now my Harbor Freight Bauer "JawHorse" is broken, and I am torn about how/when to replace it with another. It won't be another Harbor Freight unit with only a 90-day warranty and no support after that. So, I guess I'll be looking and waiting for a sale on the JawHorse from Home Depot with a 5-year warranty (we don't have a Lowe's in our town).

:idunno FWIW, I went into town today and talked to the manager of Harbor Freight. I told him that I had contacted Harbor Freight tech support and they told me that they carry no parts for their Bauer clamping workstation. I knew it was a long shot, but I asked him if I could exchange my broken unit for a new one, and then somehow keep my old broken one for parts in the future since HF does not have repair parts. Absolutely not was the response. They needed the old one to ship back to whoever so they could dump it in a landfill. I said I understood, but it seems like such a waste of everything to junk an entire unit because one part failed, and that there was no way to salvage any parts from the broken unit at a later date. In fact, it would seem to me, that I would be saving HF money by them not having to ship a 50-pound unit back to wherever and then have it dumped into a landfill somewhere else. That's an unnecessary overhead cost they will just add to us consumers and make us pay down the line.

:tongue It all seems like such a waste of resources, and I hate even thinking about it. I'm the type of person who recycles everything organic on my property in the chicken run to make compost. That includes shredding just about all our paper products and junk mail we get. I try to reuse and repurpose almost all our glass and plastic products before they get sent to the recycling bins. To me, this HF Bauer workstation situation is almost like junking a brand-new car because a tire went flat within the warranty period. But then, would anyone sell a car that had to be junked if a tire went flat? Probably not, but I would never have thought a one replaceable part failure on this workstation would lead to an entire product being sent to the junkyard. I'm just glad it happened within the 90-day return period so at least I can get my money back.
