What did you do in the garden today?

Hello gardeners. It has been ages, I hope you’re all well. We are under a heat warning, hqve been for a while, so I’m just growing lettuce right now. I have a pretty good second harvest available from the last head I cut a couple weeks ago, enough to make lunch with anyway

And this is a monster head of Romaine, the leaves cover the entire top of the bucket.

Your lettuce looks absolutely perfect, so much so it sorta looks fake! Nice!
Most people use them as lawnmowers, lol. They are little sheep. The wool is too short to spin but I have some other uses I could use wool for. If the breeders couldn't sell some they used them for butcher, so I guess there's that too.
Ohh, ok! Never new anyone that had any so had no clue. I feel like we need a new set of 'lawnmowers' here at my place. 😆

Lunch with some edible flowers and basil leaves.

One of the large garden beds. Melons in front, peppers, tomatoes, squash towards back. Farm field is beyond our yard.

We always plant vining items on south side of run for shade. Getting filled in nicely. There are borage plants and Nastursiums in the bed. The climbing vine is Hyacinth bean.

This pile is about knee deep and 15-18 feet (?) long. It's straw, leaves, and poop from my neighbor's chickens. And it's only half of it. The other half went on her mother's garden.

Do not post any smiley/happy emojis. This is out of her coop, not her run. The coop is WAY too small for the number of chickens. There is WAY too little ventilation. The coop STANK, and I mean, nose-hair curling STANK! of ammonia.

I actually had written how many chickens, the size of the coop, and the amount of ventilation. I had to delete it.
