Well, I think I found my new "Go To" tomatoes! This variety is a Determinate called Skyway. Coke can is a size reference.

Man, I'm glad that those Japanese beetles are NOT here in Washington state. They sound like a real pain.

Misery loves company

They first arrived here 4 years ago. They came in pots from big box stores of trees/shurbs that came from where ever they were growing and shipped in. People took them home and planted them and the beasts hatched and boom, now we're infested.

Was a hot day here. Sweat dripping off the end of my nose day. I did some things early and then stayed in. Rain coming and rainy all day tomorrow.

I took a break from gardening and chickening today. I needed it. I went out and bought a few groceries, then mowed the lawn. Or I should say mowed the weeds. Grass ain't growin' here. Just weeds.

Now I have a pizza in the oven. I added extra fresh onions and green peppers, and cheese. Should be ready to eat in a half hour, and I'm hungry!

Garden flowers.

I saw a hummingbird sampling my zinnia flower the other day. And I have a lavender plant that's blooming. Smells good!

I got to eat my 1st cherry tomato today. I have a bunch more coming in. I have a roma tomato coming in. I watered really good today. Got so many squash plants coming up. I have some corn starting to get some ears on them. I also have 3 green beans plants coming up. I would really love to see some watermelon and cantaloupe come up also.

Almost forgot I also have some sunflowers coming up. I got those compliments of the chicken feed.
