I had a jar of cowboy candy I had to dump last night - I went to take the lid off & it came off waaay to easy. I was my last jar from last year too.(Check those jars for that hiss when you open them y'all.)
Mine to! Got one basket full of huge yellow ones. These will be chicken snacks. Our local market is charging 80 cents for 5 inch long pickling cucumbers. Mine go from flower to 18 inchers overnight. LOL
Beautiful gardens ♡I have the last of the coffee and am out in the garden,, oh what a nice morning!
The cabbage that is ready I’ll take, I have more kale to pick and lettuce, And a few red tomatoes

I'm back from the Mennonite market. They get their lids bulk by the 1000 and repack in bags of 25. I got 100 wide, and 100 regular. They're THICK and the seal is WIDE compared to Ball. I'll get a photo soon.
They said they've had no problems with them. I have no idea who makes them or where they're from, but all the US ones are failing at an alarming rate. So it is what it is. They are quality controling themselves right off the market.
I did pick up a pack of Golden Harvest (same company as ball/kerr et al) but I had better luck with them last year than the Ball.
I have meats to put up today. So I'll report back.

Very interested to hear how they do. I bought some lids last year or the year before that are super thick, gold & no name on them. I can't remember where I got them - but that's the one that failed on me yesterday.FLIPPIN' HECK (jar lids)

Cowboy candy is candied jalapenos. We love them on burgers here. I also can any leftover juice, it makes a great marinade.Looks great! What's cowboy candy?
I planned on having a bean trellis covered with my rattlesnake vining beans by now, but the deer nipped that plan in the bud (hahaha) when they ate all the rattlesnake bean plants. Dang deer.
30 days. Need to start practicing with my compound bow...
