What did you do in the garden today?

Growing good tomato's is not that hard if you follow the guidelines.
This is a Mortgage lifter an old heirloom like the Brandywine this one
made 6 mater sandwiches.

Biggest mistake many make is Too much nitrogen or acid soil.
No more than 5-10-10 if you use inorganic. Fish fertilizer with sea weed extract
for organic growers.

Here in the NC Mountains we have blights that come with the rain & fog.
Last season we added Biofungicides to our organic arsenal. Revitalize & Cease
both natural & for Organic growers. What a game changer for two old Organic
growers. :old

Thanks!! And wow that is one big mater!!

My wife uses her attachment often. Hers is flawless so far and she has used it for lot of things she has dehydrated and then vacuum sealed in jars as well as buying large bulk bags of staples like rice and flour and storing them vacuum sealed.
It's a good idea to add a couple Bay leaves into your jars before sealing - for meal worm control

Holy huge tomato!
And, I want that bread 😋

I’m grateful fire that tip! I bought a 25 pound bag of rice that I think I’d better put in jars.
If I were doing jars (mine is in food-grade buckets with Gama lids), I'd use 1 Bay leaf per quart. Pour 1/2 full, add leaf, top off. You can also use food-grade DE (might be cheaper) and then shake your rice in a sifter before cooking. I do that with my wheat berries
