I would love some rain
we live in one of the driest area of our country, even with precipitation forecast of 99% we often don’t get rain
if it rained even though it wasn’t announced, I’d be doing a (happy) rain dance

Daughter got it from a coworker who had been to Hawaii on vacation; in just a few days it had spread to all of us but the teenager. He never got it the first time around either. I’ve had enough energy to water and keep stuff alive, but that’s about the extent of it. Hope all of us that need rain get some soon! We got a whopping .2” out of the last storm so we need a LOT more.I had some jam that didn't set, so I used it as syrup. The blueberry jam I made the other day turned out too runny so I opened them all up and te cooked them. Now they are too thick.
Sorry you've been sick. No fun at all!G’morning all. I wish Fall would start here! We have a few days over 110 this week and then it’s supposed to cool down next weekend. Hopefully I’ll have energy enough to get some stuff accomplished then. We didn’t get anything done over the holiday weekend because we all have/had covidDaughter got it from a coworker who had been to Hawaii on vacation; in just a few days it had spread to all of us but the teenager. I used to make Christmas jam for my coworkers and neighbors and had a batch that didn’t set so I gave it as syrup instead. Nobody knew the difference and I got requests for it the next year lol.I had some jam that didn't set, so I used it as syrup.
Some that was too thick got used as ... just really thick jam. It was great on pancakes instead of syrup.
Thanks, it’s certainly not enjoyable but it’s not too bad really. Me and hubs are “high risk” for complications so we’re taking the antiviral. Compared to the first time I had it, the drugs seem to help.Sorry you've been sick. No fun at all!
Supposed to be near 100 today and really hot the next couple days.
Next week more reasonable high 80's.
I'm also so ready for fall.
Hope you’re home soon! What a shame your hard work has gone to waste this year.Fall not here yet, all of next week temperatures around 80 forecast, and I’m in the hospital and can only send son messages to irrigate the plantssince he doesn’t reply, I fear the worst
hubby is also of no use at all in that department, he comes from the tribe of, less is more, concerning plants, and is only good at killing them by stepping on them, breaking them off while passing through or drowning them ( either that or the no water at all method
) my younger daughter came by this weekend and told me all the peaches were rotting away
( nobody picked them) at least she ate some ripe tomatoes and an apple, it seems to be the worst time for the garden for me to be missing
