What did you do in the garden today?

We've hit the point of so cold and so windy for so long that I have had to put fans pointing at the room high corners to keep the air moving to keep frost from forming on the the ceilings. All windows have ice on them. (Anderson windows letting cold in and hitting what little humidity is in the house.)
Yes we have frozen spots on our dumb Anderson windows as well... 😤

I have been watching some YouTube videos on the Jerusalem Artichokes plants. Looks interesting to me. Super easy to grow and very hardy even in my zone 3b. I understand you have to grow them from tubers. I went to my local big box stores and nobody carries them.

:idunno Does anybody here grow Jerusalem Artichokes? Would love to hear what you think about them. Also, any suggestions as to where I could best order some tubers to get started? Thanks.

Plants look like small sunflower plants....

I have thought about it [growing Jerusalem Artichokes]. Their nickname of "fartichoke" has made me hesitate.

:lau Yeah, I heard then can be a bit gassy. Evidently, there are ways to prepare them that cut down on the gas effect, like pickling them. In any case, I love my fresh green beans and they certainly produce gas, too.
