Yes we have frozen spots on our dumb Anderson windows as well...We've hit the point of so cold and so windy for so long that I have had to put fans pointing at the room high corners to keep the air moving to keep frost from forming on the the ceilings. All windows have ice on them. (Anderson windows letting cold in and hitting what little humidity is in the house.)

That's what we used on our addition.My brother is a builder. I asked him what brand of window he thought was the best. He said Pella.
