Can I send you some of mine... . I was so aggravated yesterday because half my ducks disappeared. I still have no idea where they wandered off to that I couldn't find them. Just as I was about to go hop in the truck to drive around the neighborhood looking for them, they showed back up in the pond. I swear they are worse than teenagers.

I have muscovy, pekin, mallard and indian runner ducks. pekin, mallard and indian runner always get back in the coop. half of my muscovies have to be chased back every single evening. I am sick and tired of that.

I've been reading about how much pectin oranges have, and a lot of it is in the skin, which we throw away. So I've been washing the orange before I peel and eat, and drying the skin near the wood stove. I plan to make it into a powder and use it to thicken homemade jam/jelly. I'll let y'all know how it works and how it tastes.

citrus peel is bitter. if you like bitter like I do you will enjoy it. I used to make citrus jam with some shredded citrus fruits. I wish I could find the recipe. I don't remember if I had to blanche it first.

I used to have a pair of ducks, they had to be chased back to their coop every evening too one time I asked my hubby to do it, he forgot ( on the phone) and the fox got both of them as much as I adored them, I didn’t get any new ducks, wasn’t going to risk them getting killed by a fox again

20- something… lol, I asked for 3 SLW females if they had them, they did! And they put in an extra DBL for free (dark brown Leghorn).
