Waiting and waiting on an order from Gurneys. 2 roses, one rose hip rose. It is Day 8 of transit. Supposed to arrive tomorrow. Seems rather irresponsible to ship plants, in boxes, using a very slow transit method (FedEx ground). There is nothing express about it. Will they still be viable or even alive? I hope so.

Do you keep them in the bucket for their entire life cycle?

Some stay, they continue the cycle, become beetles the lay more eggs. When I get mealworms out I go for the biggest ones, let the little ones grow & leave the pupa & beetles alone.

This weekend we should get some sunshine. That means that the green house will be nice and warm, even though it'll be in the 30s outside. I'll be inspired to go make more pots for planting. I hope. The cold, grey days have been... uninspiring.

It was 82 today. Hopefully we don't get any more freezes. Lol

All the vegetable crop seeds are in the hoop now! Soil temp is still too low to direct sow beans. I'm getting anxious!

Peas are starting to reach their trellis, the chard did not like the heat today. But the broccoli protected most of it!

Thank you for the compliment! It's been a long road. I have 6 raised beds, 12 Berry pots, most are along the fence. I have 14 fruit trees, 10 are in the ground, the other 4 are potted. We also have 4 grape vines. I also have one ground level bed that I use, and this year I'm planting pumpkins under the berries and grapes. I also have a pollinator garden. I need to get photos of that once I finish spreading all the mulch. I had to move some dirt so the neighbors fence didn't rot out first. The moles bury it...

Here's part of it, it looks sad without all the blooms and being raked out. I should be able to finish this weekend assuming I don't get sick again.

I planted lettuce, bok choi, cabbage, broccoli and Brussels sprout plants in the garden yesterday, and transferred a few tomato seedlings into larger pots. I need to get the rest of the tomato and pepper seedlings transferred to larger pots today.

A few weeks ago i planted: Sunflowers, beets, radish, lettuce, kale(not doing so hot) cilantro, basil, parsley, cucumbers, Watermelons and beans! I am excited to plant the rest of my seeds and plants.

72 yesterday, and we won't make it to 40 today.
Rains are coming. Tomorrow I'll put down the last of the clover and pasture seeds and get them weighted rolled down.
Yesterday, I put a 9 foot deer ring with a small swing gate around the new oak tree in the hay field. A fresh layer of much and a water bag was also added.
Besides walking through the garden and chopping straw in the pasture I managed nothing else outdoor-wise.
We're still into the in between season.
I might put the soil in the trays and get those on mats to warm for a week this weekend, but seeds don't go in for a bit yet.

This morning I noticed my new mulberry seedling is damaged from the freeze we got over Monday night - Tuesday morning. All the new leaves are wilted and look dehydrated almost. Hoping it bounces back!
