What did you do in the garden today?

Tsc refunded me a chunk of change and were very nice. Bemoaned the delivery service. I told them to use the comment box from here on out for oversized/ heavy/two man deliveries. They thought that was a great idea. Protects all three sides of the delivery.

Tip traps and bucket trap in coop last night. Bucket was a clear winner. Made eye contact- damn cute things. Now 1/4 mile away in the cattlefield.

I figure it's all 6 kids as mom was seen running up and down the ramp this morning. Ugh, guilt on top of it.

So did you keep the floor model or end up getting a new one?

OK, just read that this type of fruit drop is completely normal. Apparently the tree can lose up to 80% of its fruit naturally and still be considered normal. The tree is diverting it's resources to stronger specimens.

Good to know.

This, of course, is outside of environmental factors (too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry) or pest/disease that can also cause fruit drop. Given that the fruit I picked up from the ground looks completely normal, I think it was related to normal fruit drop.
Def good to know. I was wondering about removing some fruit for better/bigger peaches. Sounds like the plant will do some of that!

I up-potted a few marjoram and parsley starts, then went on the plant my second generations of leaf lettuce and bok choi. Also got zinnia and marigold seeds into some seed starting mix.

I gave the garden a small drink of water this morning, which I might start doing every day at the same time I pick up eggs.

A couple weeks ago my tomato plants were looking pretty bad. All the leaves were turning light green and yellowish. Turns out I just wasn't watering them enough. Over the last week I've given them a lot more water and they're greening up and looking much better.

They advertised frost last night, and they were right. I covered the blueberry bushes with garbage bags, and the cherry trees with sheets. We did indeed get frost.

I uncovered everything this morning, and it all looks fine. Tonight will be plenty warm. We'll cover again on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and then after that, we should be in the clear, for awhile.

The bushes and trees are loaded with buds/flowers. Really hoping for our first cherries and a good blueberry crop. We'll just have to protect them from the birds.

Mowed and fixed the sprayer. It was not the big o ring. It was the flap disc at the bottom of the pump. I had a kit for another brand and that part fit. Put the old flap to soak. Information might be useful to someone. Here is another tip on old brittle trimmer line. Soak it in water overnight. Becomes pliable and usable again.

Floor model.
The errors I got were, ah hem, user error. LOL
I swear technology see me coming.
I have a batch of blueberries, yogurt and raspberries going in tonight.

There are no set times on stuff, so I need to figure out how to deal with it being done while I'm out. It does hold the vacuum and the cold, I'd just rather catch it when it's done. I think I'm missing something in the computer still (my understanding of the prompts. I'll get there.) LOL

It managed the test run last night with flying colors.
