What did you do in the garden today?

Looking forward to tomatoes 🍅 so much!!!

Those little tomatoes almost a carrot orange...my neighbor grew some that resembles them last year & shared. They were little but oh so flavorful! I was popping them in my mouth like grapes every day, so darn delicious 😋. I saved seeds from them & have sprouted them. I cannot wait til I have tomatoes this year, growing 4 types. I have no idea what the name of these little orange buggers are, she can't recall, but they are wonderful! Think of tomato with sweet & tart, just the right balance to wake up your tastebuds, the essence of a fresh summer garden that leaves ya wanting more. For me they were so awesome & travel well in a baggie to the jobsites, 😋 yum!
Its either sun gold or sun sugar and the amount of water seem to affect the sweetness. I left my sun sugar in its 20-gallon kratky trash bin and let the solution dry out after I got tired of eating them. The fruit left on the drying out plant were sweeter almost like candy.

I am SO far behind here! Had a busy weekend in the garden. Got the melon seeds in today (thank you @Acre4Me). Only thing left to be planted is peppers & tomatoes, need a little more warm for that. Till then I carry them in & out & in & out & in & out. :he Have I said lately how much I hate starting seeds?

Soaking rain this week
Same here. I still managed to till the ground during the weekend and got soaked wet of cause. Transplanted some flowers, veggies and Alpine strawberry plants. Tomato and pepper plants will be next. And then watermelons. I just love spring! :D So do the chickens.

I found a new way to fruit pineapples using banana gas infused in water. This video has scientific evidence that it does work.

I managed to fruit two pineapples with calcium carbide, and they were grown in 2-gallon pots. The calcium carbide method is faster, but it burns the leaves, and I have some plants that didn't form fruit and the calcium carbide need to be reapplied. However, I will try the banana method this time around.

Weird egg found today. Curved and with “stretch marks” not completely healed…

We call that country fresh. Smells nothing like the room freshener version.
