What did you do in the garden today?

I just looked at my garden today. It's still there.

Mine garden is still there too.
Brought in some carrots 2 strawberry DH had one so did I.

go for another baby. it is sad to grow up as a single child. ask me how I know it.

I'm an only child as well. I kept busy though. Given my childhood traumas I'm glad I didn't have a sibling to share the terrible things. Though in another life I would have enjoyed a sibling. I married into siblings, three brothers and a sister.

I transplanted two more pumpkin plants today. Watered things, cut down a bunch of weeds with the hedge trimmer, picked some apples, killed a gopher with my hard rake, fertilized some things, picked some pumpkins, and added more to my compost cube. That gopher was out of it's hole just hanging out.... So I used my rake and the fence. Never seen one out of it's hole like that before. I think there was something wrong with it. Maybe poison, I don't use poison, so maybe the neighbors did. One part of me would love if they dealt with their gophers but if they are using poison that sucks. I'll take it though.

I ate all of the sprouts from thinning the broccoli seedlings. Yum!

Something killed one of my cucumbers I transplanted over the weekend. Bummer. Good thing I planted too many.

Oh! Did I mention that I am fermenting peppers?! I did 2# of red jalapenos and serranos out of the garden. I also dehydrated a bunch of cayennes and other hot peppers.

That's on my list of things to try too. What percentage of salt did you go with?

My pumpkins did nothing this year. They grew huge vines and beautiful flowers and that's all they did. Maybe they thought they were Morning Glorys....

I'm sort of an only child. I was rescued by my paternal Grandparents when I was an infant. Never knew my 6 siblings. I was one step away from becoming a ward of the state.....

Dw and I picked up something. She feels bad and I can tell something is working on me. Beginning of a sore throat.

honey helps me with sore throat. a tsp that goes down slowly.
