Everyone getting through the polar vortex OK?

My poor animals look so miserable. Thankfully we will be back above freezing on Saturday and above 60 by Monday. Hoping this is our last cold spell for the year...

I forgot to mention you'll need a coffee filter to strain this mixture to remove any debris before use.Hope this helps!

Ditto here.

I took some ibuprofen, somewhat reluctantly. While the pain abatement is nice, I worry that the lack of pain might make me move "the wrong way" and do more damage.

Yeah me too so I haven’t taken anything except at bedtime so I can relax. Heating pad helps too.

I ordered a couple packs of lettuce and some carrots for fall from Native Seed Search along with some tepary beans to replace the brassicas when they die off. I’ve heard these are good for chop and drop and I’ve already got enough to babysit through summer.

ETA: DH brought me home some seeding straw today so I mulched the corn, luffa and the bed with the spinach in it. The parsley is looking really good, I’ll give that a trim tomorrow and transplant the oregano to a pot in the shade garden. Also put in a few Roselle seeds the other day and there are actually two cucumber sprouts. 90’s in our forecast.
