What did you do in the garden today?

Pulled up 2 of the 3 cucumber plants. The bugs were winning that war. I'll probably pull the 3rd one in the next day or so. Picked a bunch of cherry tomatoes. My green beans are just starting to produce. I get like 5 beans a day

my beans ended up in salad so few there no peas but 2 pods thinks the pots where to small picking up more tires for next year those all did great

My bean plants are all 2 inch stubs! But i am planting more soon. I had to water today, the rain we had was too brief.

Woo, my beans have been exploding. I have been getting nearly 1lb a week. We don't go through beans quite that fast.... XD I am still trying to figure out what to do with them.

You can freeze or can them for later. My rabbits love them too. Or try chopping them for the chickens. You could even take the seeds out for later use. Lucky you.

Check to be sure that the ground hog does not have a tunnel hidden in your garden. Last summer I had one with a tunnel in the middle of the raspberry canes. They will hide their tunnel where ever there is sufficient plant material to cover it. Not a difficult task in my jungle garden.

Watering. The dwarf crepe myrtles are all looking good, but the little bushes don't look so hot. We had a little rain night before last, but I watered some anyway.
I have two bushes in the yard that are native to Australia. Wish I could remember what they are because they're indestructible. The chickens have decided that bed is great for dust baths and trampled the things, but they're fine I might need some more of those.
I have a white wire fence I put in a star like pattern around the apple tree to keep the kids away from the root zone and discourage bathing there, so far so good.
Sprinkling some DE under bushes in the dog yard, found some ticks I hate those things.
Considered moving some rocks today, but I don't feel like it. Working on convincing hubs we need a pop door for the coop, there's an excellent DIY video posted here on BYC.
My female dog got out this morning. Forgot about the doggie door and left the garage open. At least she came looking for me instead of running off. Thank you Universe!

EDIT I went to look at the crepe myrtles since the sun is up, there's actually lots of tiny leaf buds on two of them, the third has one leaf set that looks good but no new buds.
