What did you do in the garden today?

I always liked keeping my herbs in pots by my back door. Just step outside and snip a bit while cooking.

I'll have to keep mine by the front door with its southern exposure. Back side of the house is all shade, all the time. I have 6 or 8 big clumps of chives growing the garden that need to be containerized too.

Does anyone ever eat the chive bulbs? I imagine they're pretty small, but they might have a different oniony kind of flavor.

I have one! Also a menthol one, but it's not congestion. It's swollen cell walls due to actual chunks of allergens getting breathed up into my sinus. I have to get them OUT to stop the allergic over-reaction.

I have sinus issues during seasonal allergies. If I remember to use my nasal rinse bottle daily, it washes all the allergens out of my nasal passages. I can avoid the sniffles, and infections.

They are quite small. Some people like the flower buds. I find them really strong raw, but suppose you could cook with them.

I think chickens prefer sweet potato leaves.

They will eat them, and the young leaves also make a lovely salad green, or cooked green.

MY DOG IS HOME!!! I got up after a few hours of sleep to go look for him again.... We left the garage door open, in case he found his way home. He was curled up in front of the back door in the garage.

A friend gifted me a wooden flower rack, guess what I have been doing all morning?! Yes, treating the wood so it won’t rot, in between, I was tempted to give it back to my friend

Still have problems bending, so treated it one side, when it is dry, I will turn all the pieces and treat the other side, and when that is dry put it together ( that will be the easy part)

Started seedling in my new grow tent. Trying something different this growing season. Was chosen for a community garden plot. Wish me luck. Trying to find some inspiration, after 10 inches of new snow. SMH.

Hard to think spring with snow

G’morning gardeners. We have rain. Not just a sprinkle, like an everything is wet rain It has been MONTHS AND MONTHS since we got actual rain here, like 6-9 months. Finally!

Rainy day here. We have already exceeded our monthly average. Did lawnmower oil change and first start of the season. I ran the gas tank dry last fall for storage. Found a new to me fuel stabilizer. PRI-G. Ordered some and should arrive this week. I ordered a Shiro plum tree from Home Depo. Online nursery fulfilling order. Cheaper than online Nursery website. Should be here this week.

Well... No sign of the hawks so far this morning! Maybe yall were right and they were just passing through on their migration path

On a sadder note, something snapped one of my blooming hyacinths off right at the base.
