What did you do in the garden today?

Okay little rant because I am frustrated:

2 days ago I placed an order for 20 seed packets and all was well until I ordered some for my friend as a present (not for any reason just was in the mood to) and after ordering those I realized if you buy 25 seed packets you get free shipping. Well as each seed packet is $1 and shipping was $5 I felt like an idiot for spending money of shipping when I could have bought more seeds so I contacted them and asked to cancel the order with 20 seed packets and gave my reasoning (i like to do that I’m not sure why given that it is usually unnecessary) which was basically what I said above but I didn’t mention that I had placed a second order after the one I was talking about. Well this morning I checked and saw I had an order canceled so I went and picked out a ton of seeds, somehow 25 turned into 36 but not the point, and placed the order but now I just looked and they canceled the order I made for my friend not the order for myself so I have 20 seed packets that are now shipped and 36 that were ordered but now I don’t know what to do because I am a broke teenager who funds the majority of my gardening hobby so that $5 wasted on shipping a lot more important than it seems which sounds stupid given that I spent an extra $11 when I thought it was canceled but those were supposed to be all my seeds for next year so I wouldn’t have to be buying $3-4 seeds. I’m going to have to find out how to return the first order or something which really isn’t that big of a deal but I’m just frustrated. I feel like I’m making it seem like this is a horrible company but they have been and still are my favorite place to buy my seeds from and I know this isn’t anyone’s fault and just some misconception but that still doesn’t take away me being frustrated over all this. sorry for all this 😅
We’ve all been where you are in one way or another.:)

I made a sandwich with my homemade bread, fresh picked leaf lettuce from the garden and thin sliced cold ribeye steak. Catalina salad dressing as the condiment. It was GOOD!
Homemade bread? Do you buy any store bought? I haven’t been buying bread for quite some time now because I’ve been baking, freezing, and using a bread recipe I came across for close to a year now I suppose. Actually figured out that the cost to make per loaf was about $1.27 versus about $3.50 store bought and this cost even included the cost of electricity( yes, I actually metered the wattage used during a normal bread baking cycle and calculated the cost).

I picked the python beans and cooked them.
Pan fried in bacon grease w garlic, jalapeño and salt and pepper. I added lime at the end.
We had such a fantastic thunderstorm storm w strikes nearby I parked in yard to get to front door quickly. Let’s see if I have to call out to work today 😑

I'm still jealous of each of you that even mentions rain being in the forecast. 🤣

I anticipate that our next rain will be in November. October if we're lucky.

However, it has been fairly mild here this summer. Our nighttime lows have only reached the 60's during that heat wave we had in May. And maybe a total of four 60°nights since then. It's currently 7:32am and it's 52° outside.

My garden is going extra wild. I need to take time out there to prune, train, and fertilize. I fertilized some things with the watering can and liquid fertilizer on Wednesday. But everything needs a dose of the dry stuff. Cottonmeal blend or the bio live meal blend.

Tomatoes are really starting to ripen in force now. I will be processing a bunch this weekend.

Got a load of peaches yesterday and started up the freeze dryer for peaches, raspberries and a tray of the volunteer tomatillos. We are keeping busy!
