What did you do in the garden today?

I'm not sure if I'm tying up the zucchini vines correctly but it's the best I could come up with. I had to trim off a lot of leaves and some small squash to make room. Maybe I should cut the leaves off closer to the vine???

It’s hard for me to tell if it’s right or not… maybe this video could help? It’s only 5 minutes

I’ve heard of Miyashige white radishes being used as “duel purpose” cover crop to break up clay soil while still having something to harvest so I decided to try. The soil around her is basically straight clay and rock (which tomatoes seem to love for some reason) so I have very low expectations. it is in an unused spot though so nothing really to lose

At the beginning of this year I bought 50, 6 foot bamboo stakes for I think it was $80 and thought it was a good deal. Well 2/3 of them are so badly cracked and split that it is basically unusable outside of potting soil or very loose raised bed soil. They will still get used eventually so it’s not like they are useless but it is still annoying when it decides to split in half while you are pushing it into the ground
