What did you do in the garden today?

30 minutes could be a nice outing, if I don't have to go on the freeway. Sounds like a fun day checking it out. Thank you for being so kind to let me know about it.
Edit:
Online I can only find a Habeggars Amish market that sells produce and plants only. Still a fun day, but is it the bulk buying place you were talking about?

I’ve made really good zucchini bread with a 2.5 pounder but I’m not sure how well something double that size would do. I may out one loaf as that would only be 1/3 of one of them and depending how that turns out I may either shred it and freeze or try doing what you did.
Zucchini bread was definitely the right choice it is really good for how big the zucchini is

My dad and my brother always would let their zucchinis grow baseball bat huge they thought that was normal size lol
My grandfather used to let his grow large as well. Marrows he called them. Perfect for juicing and stews, and chooks lol

I layed a full and a couple partial pallets on the ground next to the compost bin to prevent deer from eating the squash and tomato vines. My version of a cattle guard.

Mama deer was teaching her fawn to eat my horseradish tonight. Good for them! Hope they get indigestion. :lau
