What did you do in the garden today?

I only got two quarts out of the tomatoes I picked today. Almost three, so I have a start on the next batch.

My feet/legs are tired. The kitchen floor is slate (faux slate) and it's tiring to stand on. My mom used to tell me I was to do the dishes (or other kitchen task) because I had young legs. I didn't get it then. I get it now, mom.
I used one of those anti fatigue black rubber mats for years, they really work!

We just cleaned up enough dropped apples to fill, to overflowing mind you, a wheelbarrow plus some more. A combination of Granny Smith and Rome apples with a huge amount still hanging. Sorted through these which left with three full busboy tubs full. I see in my future a new batch of apple sauce and a new batch of apple pie filling for the pantry.
As a follow up here is a picture of the apples we collected yesterday after making the mistake of walikng back to look at the apple trees. These were on the ground with many more still hanging on the tree. as of today about a fourth of them have been peeled, chopped and processed into 7 quarts of apple pie filling for the pantry with a bit lefover for an apple crumble tomorrow.
