That toad is just too cute on his precarious perch. Totally agree about warm start nights. I get lost in the wonder of the vastness of it all.Got out to the garden today. Yesterday was too hot. I went out there when we got home from being gone Saturday and Sunday... And there's new gopher activity at the edges of three of my beds. Go figure. I did take photos of all the end of season sad plants. They're attached below. Then the super happy Daisy gourd by the chicken run. And a tiny Mexican gherkin.
This evening I picked tomatoes, Bell peppers, strawberries and a watermelon. Got startled by a frog. I am glad I didn't step on him.

I took lots of photos of the stars on Sunday night. I stayed up way too late after everyone else went to bed. The fire was warm and it was too peaceful to go to bed just yet.

Thank you. Maybe try spraying with permethrin, so the bugs die upon ingestion. I have to use sluggo plus for earwigs, slugs, and snails.WOW - those are gorgeous! I didn't grow them this year. The Japanese beetles attack them by the hoardes here. Yours look so healthy
