What did you do in the garden today?

Google seems to be divided on the subject, seems everyone is. I think what I might do is try a little and have epi pen and allergic kit ready to go, and make sure I have another adult here just in case.

Maybe try tiny bit and slowly increase over time. I'm in agreement with lazy gardener because my father developed an allergy to stings later in life, but never had a problem with raw honey.

Has anyone here ever grown Opalka tomatoes? I just "discovered" them a few weeks ago while researching tomatoes online. Sounds like they're great tomatoes, many consider them better than Amish Paste toms. Supposedly, they are really big (one person said they sliced one in half lengthwise, and two slices covered their whole sandwich), very tasty and sweet. Hubs saw how excited I was about them, and said he's going to order a bunch of Opalka seeds for me that we can start this winter for next year. I want as much bang for the buck as I can get. Larger toms = more tomato products for canning next year! Just wondering if all the good things I read about them are true - anyone know?

Hubs is supposed to finish the shed today. I'm done feeding chickens and not doing a thing today. Antihistamine hangover.
The problem i have with trying to rest is that i never feel rested anyway so i might as well do something. I think this sleep apnea and sinus infection are slowly draining me of all energy.
I got the chickens and guineas fed and watered. Built a small platform to get the waterer off the ground, painted the platform and a board that i need to help block winter drafts on the bunny cage. I will be watering the veggie garden and flowers today. May rake the leaves off the dirt and plant some grass seed. We are supposed to have 3 days of rain starting Sunday.

When I try and rest I think of the ten thousand things that need to be done and my head just spins and I get up and start a project. We tell patients to rest, tell and make our kids rest, make our flock rest. And yet we won't rest.

What I've been doing lately since I've feeling tired all the time (doc is figuring it out,) trying to accept it. I get up do a little or too much, rest and repeat.

Try not to feel guilty or upset with it. At least once a day when you rest if possible put on your favorite music, do things like wash your hands, enjoy it . Massage them. Put some lotion on hands and arms. Just take your time.

I may not be able to do daily but I take a plastic bin put some water in and just soak my feet even for a moment! Will help u relax a bit so you may get a few moments of true rest.

Hope you feel better!

Those sound like good suggestions! I have been putting lotion on my hands the last couple of days because the skin is getting calloused and dry.
I did fall asleep depite all the noise the workers were making and i slept through supper!

I've had migraines off and on every day since sunday with only a few hours sleep each night. Added hives to that and it was just too much on top of work and grandkids. Antihistamine kills the hives and helps my head but leaves me feeling hung over with no energy the next day. Basic OTCs have no affect on my hives any more so I take the drugs when I just can't stand the constant itch or I'll go out of my mind.

Cruised downtown to check out the parking for a concert Sunday night, stopped for a few groceries and came home for a nap. Getting the three grand kids later tonight, having pizza and watching Tooth Fairy because the 5 year old lost his first tooth.
I watered today, more than intended.

Rest/sleep is elusive here also. Taking a nap just doesn't happen. I intended to sleep in a bit this morning since I slept so poorly all night. Nope. not gonna happen. Laid there listening to the morning sounds, and just had to get up and get going. Hubby... he's a professional sleeper. i do wish there was such a thing as a happy medium! Occasionally, I'll crash and burn, but those events are rare. I'm more apt to be perpetually tired, but just can't turn off the gears enough to actually sleep.

When i can't sleep i concentrate on breathing. In, out in, out. I slip off to dreamland. Now if i could breathe while asleep i might get rested but i stop breathing about every 90 seconds and my cpap is broken. I have an appointment with a sleep specialist but it needs to happen much sooner.
