What did you do in the garden today?

I used to have a neighbor that fed the coons. After eating dog food at his place they would come over and try to get chicken. He would not believe me as he thought they would be full. They got old and moved to town. We would have coffee together at a restaurant. I would tell him when I live trapped coons that I released them in town near his house. I said there is an old woman who leaves cat food on her porch. I really did not but coons would get in his garbage in town.

nice tactic. The potential for him losing a bit of sleep is priceless.

I found this apple tree on an exit ramp. I tried to identify it and I believe it is candy crab. An apple crab planted as a landscape ornamental. Matched it from Blue Hill wildlife nursery. Very good taste.

this was my biggest pepper plant I grew this year (potato for a very horrible scale). Some of the leaves were 9 inches long and 7 inches wide. Im overwintering it in hopes of getting it even bigger next year

Love love love OLD - really old through the 90s or very early 00s - country music. In fact I cannot make jambalaya without Hank's help.

Well Hank Williams recorded jambalaya - which I've already mentioned - before I was born, for instance, but I've been known to enjoy earlier music as well. And I do get warm fuzzies when I hear a slide guitar or a fiddle playing.

What I don't care for is much of what they try to pass off as country in the last couple of decades. Few and far between are worth listening to. YMMV

Planted some native Columbine starts.Added more potting mix to the tub and planted more Columbine seed. I had neglected my native patch for a few years. So I am boosting the number of plants.

I dug up my oregano and replanted it near the grapevines. I planted some daylily bulbs where the oregano used to be.
