What did you do in the garden today?

Yes you can keep them together. Best if raised together. Sometimes guineas gang up on adult roosters.
I would love to have some ducks and guineas , I know this may sound unbelievable ? But I had never seen a guinea untill last week in real life ! they seem lovely and where I spotted them they indeed were kept together ! so I bet it is totally harmless if you like to put them together indeed , how awesome that they can even be friends with other animals actually :) , lovely sight ! had a chat with those people because one thing was bothering me and I assumed the people owning the area were just not aware but they had all their animals together but that included also their turkeys ! and as far as I know you can not put your turkey together with all the other birds , but ok their decision ofcourse because they knew but wanted it that way (HUH ? lol ) , guess what I asked further ... aha indeed I was asking he would like to sell some ducks (a couple of them only ) and a couple of guineas but not for now , in the near future ! I would love it today already as he had like a few to be sold but can't put the chickens trough that stress and an unfinished coop is also not the right way to start lol , so cool you got those guineas :D !! I heard they also like to do some working ?? but I really don't know just a bit about them ( reading in on them first )

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE rosemary. I grew some from seed this year, and hope I can pot some up and keep it alive for the winter. Wish we could grow it year round outside here. Troublesome blossom.

Funny story. Growing up, we had a cat that was an awesome hunter. He'd often bring home treats for us: mice, voles, frogs, snakes, chipmunks, rabbits... When I slept out in the tent, he'd come crying to the tent flap about every hour with that muffled meow that says, "let me in, I've got a treat for you". He obviously didn't want me to go hungry at night! Well, one day, he brought a critter into the house. We had no idea what it was. My mom took it away from him. It was still alive, but it was a baby, had no hair, eyes still closed. So... maternal instincts kicked in. She grabbed a doll bottle, and fed the thing with canned milk. It eventually grew big enough to easily tell what it was. It was a...

grey squirrel. Boy did that little bugger have attitude. He'd start screaming when he wanted his bottle. And he'd scream even louder when he wanted OUT of his cage. He LOVED chocolate cake, especially if it had frosting! He pretty much had run of the house when he was weaned... till he started crawling into the ringer washer and chewing the buttons off my dad's shirts. He'd hide them here and there. When he started chewing electrical cords, he made a one way trip to a local game farm.
lol funny post but lovely as well :) , my cat presented me a mouse today and I said to her " he girl you really gotta go catch something else , I am done eating the same thing over and over again you know ! " my mother started punishing the cat and I was like " uh mom ? why did you just yell at her ? " she said the cat brought in a whole pigeon alive lol , this was so funny because it was alive and could be saved but she needs to understand the natural instincts of a cat and why they bring it , she said to me " but why does she wanna bring those animals she catches home ! it is disgusting ! she is such horrible creature ! " I said " look mom , when a cat is coming home with a dead or even like this alive animal ? you know what that means ? that she adores you that much she is willing to share her food with you ! really you can not punish her for this but instead act as if she has done such a great pleasure to you , take it and when the cat looks away ? toss it away ok ? and just present her some treats " now she started to take more and more pigeons and other bigger animals which I just can't resist to watch when my mother sees what is in front of her pfoeha lol ! hihi she is like " eeeeik again and again noooo " that is a cat mom , enjoy the love ! RFL :D

I am getting miniature goats, they are so darned cute! Only 6 of them , lol, husband does not want 100 again. :lau. Of course, the babies will be too cute to sell...
lucky you !! I like them sooooo much but my contract said " no big livestock " aw bugger ! I joked once to that woman and said I was gonna put a few cows in the yard , I so should have taken a pic of that ! you guys would be laughing so loud ! she knew I was kidding but she also knew I once had a horse that just got lost right after new years eve and walked into the BY while the gate was accidentally open , still no idea why that horse wanted to step into my garden but I bet it knew pretty much how badly the lawn had to be done ?:yesss:and then ofcourse the owner came , he had tracked the horse down by following what it had ... ahm " done on the way "

I found this odd blossom in my rosemary..... :D

Bloody Daisy (that's not daisy in the above photo, you can find Daisy's photo on the FBI's most wanted list) keeps invading my veggie garden. Sigh. She's decided to lay under the parsley. All my flower seedlings are gone and I think she's demolished the watermelon I planted. :( At least she's the only one and she hasn't shown the others how she's getting in.
my old flock hated rosemary but guess why I do not have any basil at this point nor tomato , also on the same list ! but sad enough they moved to the list from the man upstairs , the greedy ***** :( , I had that flock for sooooo long but guess it was just for the best after all , hope they did not suffer ... btw : did you also find that your rosemary has some big new shoots on the sides ?? I think they have if I see that picture , here the same in fact but I already took a lot of the herbs to dry

I was with my cousin who is 65 years young, in Ohio County Kentucky and we saw this. Now both of us have never seen it before. Which really shocked us. Any ideas:hmm:barnie:confused:
Neither of us are used to being stumped normally we both know or one knows and teases the other

The reason i wanted guineas is that they eat a lot of bugs. We have lots of ticks, so i was hoping they would eat them. So far i have not been able to get them to range more than about 20 feet from the coop!:lau
