I FINALLY got around to putting my garlic in the ground only to discover it had molded. I think I managed to save a few scapes, but in was very disappointed.

I think in some countries they are called cantaloupe. I have 2 varieties 'French Charentais' and 'Hales Best' but I didn't label them very well so I can't tell which is which now...

My ears of corn are finally showing and today it's very windy so hoping that there'll be plenty of pollination happening. Picked my first courgette (zuchini) of the season and my silver beet and rainbow chard is growing faster than I can feed it to my chooks. On the down side, the kangaroos ate all the grape vines poking through the link fencing, including some bunches of grapes that had just appeared

I devoted about 3 hours of my day to parsley. Only parsley. DH had sown a large patch and it loved the cooler autumn temps and was just beautiful. Calling for a freeze tonight and couldn't stand to see it go so I cut it all, removed the leaves, and froze it. Should be enough to last me the entire winter.

Haha is your avatar pic a chicken swimming? That's so mad! One of my chooks accidentally fell in the pool first day I let them out. She flapped around and freaked out like skimming the surface. When I got there she had finally calmed down, looked like she was floating like a duck! Got her out quick smart before she sank .

That's Baby... she used to like going in the paddle pool when she was only a year old but now she doesn't (or doesn't bother) she'd paddle around like a duck but soon got water logged and we'd have to lift her out. She'd go mad trying to get back in.

Never heard of parsley wine although my Grandfather would make wine from most anything that didn't move. Please give us some pics and let us know how it turned out when you finally get to taste-test it!
