What did you do in the garden today?

I've gotten 23 flats of seeds planted so far but I still have a fair bit more to do. I'm looking forward to getting my in-ground seeds done but I'll have to wait a while on those. So far I have varying types of broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, beans, peas, celery, corn, peppers, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, squash, and watermelon.

I also bought some asparagus crowns and rhubarb roots yesterday but I'm going to wait until after the storm we have coming for the next couple days before I do anything with them.

I believe there is a difference between the poppies grown for opium, and the common poppy grown for flowers, and the one grown for seeds. Either she was growing an illicit substance... most likely by mistake, or the DEA overstepped... like they often do when they eradicate someone's plantings because they bear a vague semblance to pot.

I've noticed the helicopters fly over my farm every summer about every 2 weeks. Looking for something....they won't find anything.

They are wasting my taxpayer money though.

Looked at my garlic sprouting in the kitchen and realized I'm really late getting it in the ground.
technically garlic does not sprout.
unless you did from seed? which is VERY rare as it takes energy from the bulb.

and.

you people planting and thinking about it outside!?!?!? i wish i lived where you do. i have 3 feet of snow still and it's -30 CELCIUS on a regular basis!

Maybe you should talk to my garlic.

It's 3rd generation, usually I plant it in the fall but we were having issues this past fall, so it's still hanging up in the kitchen, and yes, it's sprouting - I want it to sprout. I just want it to be in the ground when it does!

Technically though, what do you call the green shoot that comes out of the bulb?

Greetings and Tidings of Joy from the Crazy H-Bar Ranch; I always tell my children to plan the work, then work the plan. So after a little planning we got some plants in the ground today, we planted; zucchini bread, cucumbers, pickles, yellow squash, and sugar pumpkins, Armenian cucumbers. Oh boy are we gonna pay of it later.... I'm soo sore.

First I laid out the plants that were ready so as not to block any sun from the other plants.

Last we did 4 zucc bread plants..... I think 6 should be enough this year....

Pickles on the left and Cucumbers on the right...

This group might be a little ambitious; 4 pumpkins on the far left, 4 yel squash in the center, (I hate squash) and 4 Armenian cucumbers on the right. (Might thin these to 2 plant)
