Amen! That's what they were talking about when they started touting raised beds!!! I planted my rows of carrots, basil and onions and it took me 5 minutes to stand up straight and get rid of that numb feeling in my feet...never even mind the knees....No bending over! They are lovely!

Those are nice, you can seal them on the inside using soy oil.
i have put out a few tomatoe's... 4 really large ones two weeks ago my MIL started her plants way too early they wee 1/2 gallon size...and 4 more normal size i planted the other day along with some tomatillo they are doing fine the first ones got a Little chilled but recovered, i also planted 4 egg plant seem to be OK... so far i have brussell sprouts, cabbage , cauliflower, broccoli plants.. radishes , beets, peas,potatoes that have all come up, planted a few beans yesterday..I have had peppers and tomatoes various sizes harding off for a week in the grass for day time on my porch at night not enclosed but covered with concrete floor so hold heat nothing has died and i have from foot tall plants down to 3 inch tall ones...I am in NW ILZone 5 gardeners anybody put out their night shade family stock yet?
