What did you do in the garden today?

Yesterday was my first real day back to work after getting over being really sick.

Weeds. but I expected that.
Some cold damage, but I expected that.
...and the pepper plants that I had started.. loaded with peppers! I did not expect that!

The cabbages are cabbaging and the kale is kaling and the peas are peaing.

The recent snow crashed down my bird blocked area by the bunnies, my bf said he'd build me a new duck pen with raised pond this weekend!

Our 2 beehives and Italian bee packages arrive April 25th! We're so excited!!

Oh yeah. But, I hope the peas don't pea in your sneaker.

Looked out over my bumper crop of snow this year.... It's the easiest to cultivate and lowest maintenance. No weeds. Animals walk through but don't eat it. And I didn't even have to plant it. It was volunteer snow....

My dad always called plants that reseeded "volunteers." I haven't heard too many people use that term. :)

Oh, they have black carrots now? Got seed 3years ago from Turkey. Couldn't find any in the US nor a seed distributor interested in getting them. Had to get an import liscense.

I made 25' of carrot seed tape. Will look around to see what else I should make tape for! Maybe this will be the year of well spaced vegetables! Got some real nice grape tomatoes (variety pack of colors and sizes) from the grocery store that tasted real good. So, I saved the best 2 to over ripen and save seeds from.
