What did you do in the garden today?

Watered the newly planted peppers; watered the plants under the grow lights. THose should be ready to plant this weekend. RUnning out of space. ANd that feels like a good thing as it means lots of vegies started!!!

My garden is sprouting nicely. May have to re-plant the corn, but squash and cukes are up. Fortex is starting to run. An other variety of pole bean yet to show, but I have faith there! Need to pick up some cherry tomato seedlings and plant some cabbage.

Any one in the northeast have advice on lavender? I suspect my soil is too acidic and clayish. I have some survivors and weird re-growth (tips and central ) and my bushes are short-lived in general. I have tried a few different cultivars and have been amending my soil since I cannot dig out my bolders
Munstead is the only one I can get to grow only last two years. I have client that grows hers in per fertilized commercial soil on rock wall it's lovely she only get two -three years from it.

@hennible, that counts as a recipe for me. Do you have a problem with the tea attracting flies it do you cover it?

Thank you!!!

Cover it... Last year a neglected to and ended up with a buck of maggots.... :sick
What a mess... I can handle bugs, rot, manure etc but maggots are just gross....

I finished building 3 raised beds to put in my front yard. I have three compost piles going that I will use to partly fill them. Then next month I will get some good soil and start planting!

Made from heat treated pallets. 3.5 ft by 3.5 ft and one foot deep.
